Regions Bank escalates foreclosure activity - Houston Business Journal:

On May 27, the Birmingham, Ala.-based bank won a $21.4 million foreclosure judgment against QuailHunter Trail, the developer of the Enclavde at Black Point Marina in southernh Miami-Dade County. The development on the northern sideof Homestead, spans southb of Old Cutler Road to Silver Palm Drive (Southwest 232nd Street) along the east side of Florida’sz Turnpike. The developer built a handful of the 240 homee it obtainedapproval for, but none have been according to court records. The Enclave at Black Poinr Marina is scheduled for public saleon Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. in the Miami-Dads County Courthouse.
Regions Bank targeted another project insoutherj Miami-Dade on May 3 when it filesd a foreclosure action against Soutj Miami-based Coconut Palm Estates LLC and managiny member Carlos DeLeon. That lawsuit involves a $6 milliob mortgage made in 2007 covering the Coconu PalmEstates development, with plans for 10 single-family homezs in a cul de sac on 3 acresz at the northwest corner of Southwest 96th Street and Southwesyt 72nd Avenue in Pinecrest. Therde is no evidence in county records of constructioh gettingunder way. Fort Lauderdale-based attorney Arthur H. who represents Regions Bank inthat lawsuit, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
In Palm Beachu County, Regions Bank filed a foreclosurwe lawsuit on May 28againstf Rockledge-based Gun Club LLC and managing member Nick N. Rahall based on a $4 million mortgage issued in 2006. The lawsuir targets a 6.9-acre site alonh Gun Club Road, just west of South Militaryu Trail in an unincorporated part ofthe county. Cour records show it holds entitlementzfor 40,112 square feet of commercial space, but there were no recordsw of development taking place. Nicholas Rahal, the head of Rockledge-based , said Gun Club LLC is not owneddby him, but by his son of the same He added that the site was plannex as a dealership, but the dealer backed out.
His son was not immediatelh availablefor comment. West Palm Beach-based attorney Michaeo J. Posner, who represents Regione Bank inthe case, did not immediatel return a phone message.
