The two-year agreement covers film and digital television motion pictures and newmedia productions. It becomes effectiv e at 12:01 a.m. on June 10 and expires June 30, 2011. The agreemenf provides more than $105 million in wages, increased pension and other gains and establishes a templatd for SAG coverage of newmedia formats, a major stickinyg point in the negotiations. According to a statement fromthe SAG, the new deal was approvecd by a vote of 78 percentg to 22 percent. About 35 percent of the 110,000o SAG members that received ballotsreturnede them.
